Spider Vein Treatment - Sclerotherapy treatment sessions are fifteen minutes. To reduce the number of clinic visits, two sessions at the same visit are sometimes advised. In our experience most new patients require three to six treatment sessions over a period of three to four months. Although we see many patients on a more regular basis, the average maintenance period is between two and three years. To leave no one disappointed we advise all new patients to expect at least a 70% overall improvement. Spider vein treatment is not generally covered by insurance.

Spider veins are often the result of blood seepage into surrounding tissue, blood trapped in capillaries, or by pressure pushing micro-capillaries towards dermal surface layers. Many creams developed for spider veins contain active ingredients such as Vitamin K or extract compounds such as Phytotonine to improve vein wall health and to help clear and remove spider veins and prevent their return.
